Potential Invited Speakers
We have secured funding from the Gatsby Charitable Foundation , and are applying for PASCAL-II funding. We expect to be able to fund three invited speakers. We intend to use this funding to invite respected researchers from outside the ICML/UAI/COLT communities.
Here are some potential invited speakers:
- Jim Griffin. http://www.kent.ac.uk/ims/personal/jeg28/index.htm. Dependent Dirichlet processes or nonparametric regression.
- Stephen Walker. http://www.kent.ac.uk/IMS/personal/sgw/. Convergence of Bayesian nonparametric models or Fleming-Viot processes.
- Paul Fearnhead. http://www.maths.lancs.ac.uk/~fearnhea/. Sequencial Monte Carlo techniques for nonparametric Bayesian models.
- Sonia Petrone. http://www.unibocconi.eu/soniapetrone. Nonparametric functional data analysis.
- Pietro Muliere. http://didattica.unibocconi.eu/docenti/cv.php?rif=49306&cognome=MULIERE&nome=PIETRO. Generalizations of the Polya urn scheme.
- Volker Tresp. http://wwwbrauer.informatik.tu-muenchen.de/~trespvol/. Nonparametric relational models.
- Lawrence Carin. http://www.ee.duke.edu/~lcarin/. Nonparametric multi-task learning or matrix stick-breaking processes.
